cyberbackpacker
Does anyone know, or have an educated idea, on whether mating a subie ej engine, or ideally an eg33, to a chevy th400 has been done. If not done, possible?
idosubaru
definitely possible. i know someone put a V8 in an XT....not sure how/what it was mounted to though. i think it *pushed* a little tiny bit!
Reveeen
With enough time and money anything is possible............... I'm not entirely sure a TH400 is a "wise" choice. In some dyno testing here, a few years back, a "normal" TH400 requires 45HP to turn it. Probably a better choice might be a Powerglide (15HP). Hondasucks
I think that is the one that was in SubieSport, pretty slick setup.

I tried getting a hold of them through the other bbs, and no response. Others had asked for the name of the shop for the adapter publicly, and they never acknowledged it either. I wonder if they want to be the only one using a th400? Thanks again.
SPR
hmm ive never heard em be to secrete about it. not that i can remember it now, but they told me what shop build the plate and told me pretty much everything about it.
