ericem
Hi. Just wondering as I have 2 axles from when I replaced my axles last. 1 axle is still fine but a fine leak where the clamp is. Other side has a broken boot. I bought the new axles online so didn't get money to trade in the core. So now the question is can I get cash for these axles? or toss 'em? chef_tim
Scrap metal is bringing a premium. If you can gather up a bunch of junk you could make some good money, I did a couple of weeks ago, made $250:eek:
Reveeen
can I get cash for these axles? Rebuilders will pay $10 an axle for cores. Closest $20 bill to where you live that I know of is in Burlington @ Eurodrive. I should be up your way later in the summer, and have no difficulty giving you $20, doesn't really pay to ship. lostinthe202
If you have the space, you could also hang onto them so the next time you need axles, you could use them as cores instead of either paying up front or ripping your car apart first. Steel really isn't going for that much, about .05 a pound

Hondasucks
If they aren't clicking, and have just been leaking, you could get a boot kit (~$45 a side from Subaru) and repack them yourself, then you have a set of good axles for next time.
