greenleg88
Does anyone know the offset on the stock steel rims that use the 185/70 r14 tires? and what offset would be optimal for a 205/50 R16? Thanks

lmdew
Tirerack might have the info for you. I've used the WRX stock wheels on the Legacy's. They work fine.
davebugs
I have a 98 Legacy L on the lift now. If I remember I can get the measurement off of it. I'm curious about the GT offset since I'll be installing some VW wheels on a GT today. The GT came without wheels so I have no idea what the offset on stock rims was. johnceggleston
i've read here that the offset was a 5.5". and since i know nothing about wheels, i just ASSUMED it was 5.5 for all legacy / outback wheels. are steel wheels different than alloy? if you were making a farm "truck"out of an outback and wanted much larger tires, could you put spacers on the hubs, (cut out the fenders) so the wheel/tire would clear the struts?
