mystery relay beside auto belt motor?

Recommended Posts

So I was installing some WRX seats in my 94 Loyale and had the doors open for a while. After the installation was complete I had to leave and my auto belts were not working but I kept hearing what sounded like a motor or relay cycling off and on every 10 seconds or so. I disconnected the battery and took the passenger side panel off where the auto belt motor is and beside it is a black relay that reads R2011

TD165 12V

It was clicking and nothing was happening. Dome light still works, car starts up fine. Anyone know what this is or should I just bring it in to autozone and see if they can match it? I have searched for this and found nothing related to the relay for seatbelts. It may not even be a relay for those but it has something to do with them not working I think. Oh yeah I checked the fuseable links in the engine compartment and all fuses related to this problem in dash and all is fine. Thanks Jason

Try with another Relay... if it Works, Fine. If not, seach for Cutted Wires under the Seats... or Around... Accidentally we can Pull and Damage some Wires.

But if You`re Sure that the Problem is the Relay, and you can not Find the Right Replacement, you can Swap there a Bosch Standard Relay.

Those are more Capable, last Longer, and replacements are almost in Any Car Parts Shop. To do that, see my Write up:

Good Luck! :burnout:

If it's the four spade relay like the headlight relays, go to autozone or advance auto or an auto parts store that can get or stocks Pilot fog lights and get a pilot relay part # PLRY-1. It's a 30 amp relay for way less than the direct replacement 22 amp relay. I payed $3.99 each for the ones I have, but they don't stock them anymore at Autozone so what's on the shelf is it.
