TeamCF
So I'm gathering parts to do a 5 speed swap. But it's gonna take a little longer (proly swap it sometime this winter) than I want to wait to have my Roo back on the trails before the swap can begin. So until then I've gotten a new clutch to get it going again. (Been about 15 years since I've done a clutch, the Roo looks easy as pie though. ) So my question. Can I just get a new disc that matches the 5 speed and use the rest of the parts in the new kit (I just bought) when I put the 5 speed in? Or am I going to be buying a whole new kit for the 5 speed? My Roo is an EA81 4 speed D/R. (225mm clutch) I'm getting a D/R 5 speed with flywheel, clutch (of unknown condition), driveshaft. Probably gonna lift it some when I do the swap. After thinking about it. I'd proly have to switch the pressure plate as well to be the same as the disc. Think I answered my own question.
