screwbaru2
Sounds like it maybe a "rollover valve" Checks the flow of fuel in the event of a rollover:Flame: Edited September 21, 2008 by screwbaru2

bheinen74
it is either the roll over check valve, or the fuel return valve. See, on most cars, there is a fuel supply line, and a fuel return line. It allows pressure equalization, part of the emissions and stuff crap...it can vent unburned pressure gas back to the tank safely.
EVOthis
ah.......u know i asked one of the master techs at work today and he said it does exactly how it sounds....it dampens the sound of the fuel because the fuel lines run through the passanger compartment...i would have never thought of that...lol
McDave
My '93 Loyale came with 3 of them. One in each fuel line before and after the throttle body, and one back by the fuel pump. I can honestly say I don't hear any fuel flowing.
