soobme Posted January 8, 2004 Share Posted January 8, 2004 Do I need to pull the front axles all the way out to change the cluch in an '86 4WD wagon, or can I just pull the roll pins @ the trans side and pull the trany back? archemitis Posted January 8, 2004 Share Posted January 8, 2004 you dont need no stinkin picker, this is a subaru, take off the fans and the radiator, and you can just slide the motor forward, all you reely need is a floor jack and a stand, and a buddy my cousin did the brat without taking tranny out all the way, and left the axles in. just slid the tranny back half a foot, and left it hangin on the cross member. worked pretty good.
