ericem
Hi guys! I put some 02 wrx struts and springs on my 93 legacy. Yet it is still very rough the ride. I am really surprised the feel didn't change much. 93 struts vs 02 struts which I can not bounce. Now I did notice with the sway bar detached from the control arm and the balljoint, it does not move freely, to move it, it is pretty difficult extremely stiff. Not sure how they should move though. Is that normal? Or could this most definitely be my problem? Any other suggestions would be awesome. Thanks. PS:Car has only 14" steelies. Tire size is 195/55/R14 or something like that. Eitherway plenty of sidewall. Car: 1993 Legacy L Wagon 320,000km+.

Hmmm, I put wrx suspension in my old '97 impreza I had and found the ride to be great and handling to be better as well, don't really know why they would be bad in a legacy??? Are you saying that the control arm is hard to move or the sway bar? Either way they are going to be pretty stiff. The control arm bushing will keep that pretty taught when disconnected and the sway bar is meant to be stiff. Hope this helps and sorry if I misunderstood:)
subaru360
The stock wrx springs and struts are fairly soft, to me anyway. I have coilovers in my wrx now and when I drive a stock one it feels soft like any other subie. Are you sure you mean 195/55 14? That is a really short sidewall tire. ericem
Not sure on the tire size will check tomorrow. But there is plenty of sidewall thats for sure. It;s just odd how the original suspension seemed just as stiff as the new one. I was expecting it to feel like a new vehicle. Just never figured the control arms would be so difficult to move with the sway bar not attached to the control arm!
