Its needing a bit more work, shifter rubs two piece propshaft, need rubber flares, and other small things. Reversed up here for fun, but the clutch didn't like it And a "sitting pretty" photo. crazycracker
ok - here's mine - new to this off roading Subie thing - I also own a'06 WRX (but all street no off roading) I bought it off ebay - I believe its a body lift - it has a 2.2 '97 Legacy Motor - I just ordered some 30x9.5 all terrain tires - so should make it a little "beefy looking" - I haven't got her stuck yet sorry the one pics are on pavement but it was right after some mud Edited January 1, 2009 by crazycracker
Subafreak
Haha, sick! I was wondering if that car would ever end up on this forum. I build that Loyal like 5 years ago, well i belive the lift in it is still the one i built. It got sold to two people around me befor getting sold off on E-bay. I used to be under a gray body wagon and had a duel range AWD tranny out of an RX with a 2.2L turbo motor in it, But i recognise that roof rack. It did have 30x9.50 under it but whatevers on there now looks a bit smaller? Awsome to see it's still going and getting wheeled!

one eye
FINALLY got it running! Just in time for this thread too! haaha 83 Leone 4WD, EA81dc, 5sp D/R, 27" Kumho's, welded rear diff, no lift. Reversed up here for fun, but the clutch didn't like it Did These come with 4WD stock, I have never seen a gen 2 sedan that has 4WD over here, I've had one or maybe two but all 2wd. This thing looks sweet though I'd like to have one!! Jeff
Phizinza
Nope, I stuck a 5sp D/R (which was another story entirely) and a wagons rear end in it. I've got a thread in "Old Gen" about it, called something like "I'm back in the subie game" or something. I've never seen a stock EA81 sedan either. I do like them in 4wd kit though, much better then when it was 2wd with crappy 13's.
one eye
much better then when it was 2wd with crappy 13's. Ya I here ya there. 2WD just don't have what ya need. I'll check out your other thread, I can't belive I've not seen that.....Anyways job well done, it's always cool to see someone make somthing that not many others have. +1 for the 4WD Gen2 Sedan!! Greenley
That sedan is freakin' sweet. How do you like those M/T's ?
Phizinza
They are awesome... Long lasting, tough side walls, loud on the road, wicked grip on dirt, bad on the black top in the wet, kick arse offroad...
superu
Nice does he sell them? Thanx! Yeah, bratman said it... John still makes and sells them, one at a time.. He thought he could mass produce them and got behind on orders.. Long story... as bratman said, you can find info here and there, but again, yes he still makes and sells them. I think dealing one at a time is a better deal for John... He is not a factory.
superu
+3 on the wicked sedan!! Love the tires. Are you planning to do a 50-75 mm lift too?? Looks nice!! Can we think of your sedan as a sort of generational precursor to my new gen. sedan (after I complete what we're planning)?? -mark-
Phizinza
No plans for lift atm... I could fit the tyres so there was no point lifting in my mind. I actually really like how it looks with no lift. Got rubber flares to put on it now. Should be good.
crazycracker
heres mine on 30 x 9.5 General AT2 - I haven't had a chance to try the new tires out yet - so sorry heres a pic in front of work (old work now)

Phizinza
That's a 4" or more, 2 and 3 inch lifts aren't that high! Nice setup, I like clean look, no rough work showing.
The Scooby
this is my car, 2inch suspension on 28's, thats why i ask.
Phizinza
Looking at the height of the sump and engine crossmember compared to the hubs and brakes, looks like you have 1 to 1.5 inches suspension lift over stock height.
The Scooby
2inch SJR suspension lift, and the adjustable stock struts are on the middle settings.
