What happened was the plug of the coil wire on the distributor side had slid into the boot. the spark was arcing the gap and after a while the boot slide far enough so that the plug couldn't arc anymore. i re-adjusted the plug, shoved it back in, and it drove it home. SoobieKoralli Posted December 21, 2008 Share Posted December 21, 2008 I had a fuseable go corrode away earlier this month, I noticed a problem when i would sit at idle at a stop light and the idle would steadily increase. When I checked it it had an idle at 4500 rpm , I stripped the wire and reconnected it to get me home and stole one from another soob. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
