SUBARU3
I have the beginnings of, what I think, is a front wheel bering going south on a 91 legacy Lsi 2WD. 99K. It's like a continous "groan" that varies with speed, however it doesn't change tone with any turns, just a moan/groan. Sound like a bearing? Is the fromt hub/steering knuckle the same on the early 90's Legacys and the 95-99 Legacies? Thanks much! Todd
idosubaru
i think the struts are the same. front struts interchange and i think axles too...check those. if both of those interchange then they're interchangeable. just make sure it's a wheel bearing. i just replaced a groaning rear bearing and it's still there. so either it's something else (tire?) or the hub is bad. very annoying going through all that trouble getting the part, 'fixing' it, and NOT fixing it!
