axgutt
Well, I finally hit 300,000 miles a few weeks ago. It's a '95 Legacy L wagon, with a 5 speed, and it's still running strong. My wife has a 95 Legacy LS wagon with a manual - she's at 211,000 and it still runs like a top too. A lot of thanks go out to this group - I've had a lot of questions answered throughout the years. tcspeer
300,000 is good, I had 288,000 on my 97 Legacy wagon and it was still doing well, but I let one of the timing belt pulley's come apart and the valves and piston's got together and made a mess. later, Peter
Yesterday I sold our '96 OBW with 202,124 miles & felt confident selling it to someone I know & see regularly. It is still solid & sooo comfortable. We still own a '99 OBW (30th ann ed.) & it's not as comfortable in the seat nor does it have the power up the hills... so be it. We now own a 2002 Impreza OBW (if you can call that a wagon).. my wife's new ride... NO dogs allowed. I will inform the new owner of my old '96 of this post & the 300,000 mile mark you've reached.... CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! later, Peter
frag
That's almost half a million kilometers. I'm only half that and I'm sure rust will stop the count before the engine and trans do. Congratulations!

Subaru_dude
232,000 on my '93 Impreza, doesn't smoke and burns very little oil between changes.. Recently installed new Gates timing belt kit (complete with idlers and tensioner pulley) and a brand new Subaru water pump with Subaru thermostat and Gates hoses. Should definitely make it to 300,000 and greater with no problems. I love my Impreza.
