Dual carburetor on ea81 ?

Looks like the black box is just a catch tank for the coolant.

I have also seen some intake manifolds like the one on the spfi ea82 being converted over to a weber carb since the intake runners on that are larger than the standard ea82 and ea81. A special adapter plate would have to be made since there isn't one in production.

That cust. mainfold would stick out of your hood, looks quite a bit taller than the stock one. Ive had dual carbs on a 79 ea71 and on a 86 ea82, a little power gain but not much, it would probably be like 5-7 if you dynoed it, so maybe going from 73 to 80 would be the most you can expect. A single weber would probably be the same, 500$ + carb sticking out of the hood may not be worth 5hp. Cheapest thing is just use an adapter & weber.

Yes, single webers are known for similar power increase in normal RPM (800-5000). What gives the dual carb motors more power is actually the different heads with reversed valves and the different cam which is shaped for high end power. Not just the manifold and carbs.
