Old Gen. Subaru Guard Dog

Recommended Posts

Aww I love doggy threads...We get our new puppy in 3 weeks ( German Shorthaired Pointer ) from one of the best hunting lines in the country. Beautiful dogs!! My rescue Cattle Dog mix ( we call her a Dingo) loves my cars...I think she thought my Loyale was hers. I think a dog is what makes a Subaru complete.

Good looking dogs everyone. that Shepherd pup is gonna be one good looking dog when he grows up & fills out.

Connie, be sure to post a pic of the new puppy when you get him!

A couple of pics of ours...

This one is supposed to be Shar-pei/pitbull mix, kind of looks like a cattle dog, but the coloring is wrong... He is our guard dog - doesnt like much of anyone that doesnt live here.

These are the others we have/had in the last couple of years...

Still have the black one, altho she is getting old, 11 now, loves everyone - just pay attention to her!

The one on the right we lost to old age 2 yrs ago, she was 15, nearly 16. Still miss her...She was the sweetest girl, just wanted to be loved.

the one on the left was a puppy that someone dumped out here - found her (and her brother) a good home.

if we had the time & money for them, we would have a whole houseful!

Here's our nine month old. She's the shop dog, she's part Lab and, like every other dog from the pound, part Pit. She'll lay like this under my desk for most of the day

This is Ruth Ann, she's part pit and part boston maybe?

Both of our girls ride in the back seat in our OBW. Some lady saw them in the backseat and saw that I had the cage separator up. She said something like, "your dogs got out of their cage". I told her they were right where they were supposed to be, the back area is for passengers. I don't think she got it...

Here's mine -- Newfoundland Malamute mix, about a year old. Aurora Borealis, or Bory for short. About 130lbs. Yes, he does fit in the Justy (the entire back seat is set up as his place).

He's the one on the right, playing with his sister

He's the rightmost one, again, with his brother and another sister, and a friend's dog (the brown one is a 40 lb lab mix...., to give you an idea of the size...)

Looking out over the view.

Hey,

Here is Buster today.

picture.php?albumid=53&pictureid=534

He is a little over 5 months old and he tried catch and release with a mini van a while back. Grabbed the tire and lost some teeth on the lower jaw and messed his right leg up a bit.

Burnt child dreds the fire. Experience the most through teacher, and all that. I sure hope he learned his lesson. Van was going fast by my front door and it's the only time he has ever went after a car.

I think it's because it sounded like a RC Truck that he hates. Mabie.

Here's our dog. He's fairly old now, completely blind, loosing sense of smell, and his hind end is getting weak. He doesn't let it get him down though. Seen him walk full speed into trees, trailer hitches, ect and get back up and shake it off like it didn't even happen. Takes longer to go on walks now that he's blind, you have to shuffle as you walk so that he can follow the sound of your feet on the trail. Otherwise he ends up in the underbrush.

Can still catch food like you wouldn't believe. As long as the piece brushes his whiskers he'll snatch it right out of the air. He'll stare you down just as good as he could when he could see, he uses the sound of you eating to know where your face is.

That's a rear seat out of my old 86 3-door that he uses as a bed. Low enough to the ground that he can hop in and out fine, and it reminds him of the car rides he loves so much.

Here are a couple pics of my dog. She is like my first born, had her since she was born and never leaves my side! And she's the proud mother of ten puppies!
