jrgaylor Posted January 11, 2004 Share Posted January 11, 2004 Just recently I have started to smell gas inside my wagon I have looked over the fuel lines coming out of the tank and around the engine compartment and they look fine. any ideas? TomRhere Posted January 11, 2004 Share Posted January 11, 2004 Yep. Fuel and brake lines run under the trim on the door sill, then up the firewall. Less chance of damage to them that way. Would also check the vapor canister under the hood. They have been known to give off fumes at times. Did you cap-off the float bowl vent line going to tyhe vapor canister, when you did the Weber swap? You should have. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MilesFox Posted January 11, 2004 Share Posted January 11, 2004 yes, flip up the bottom of tha back seat, and you will se where the fuel lines come in from under the car. check under the car, where the fuel lines run along the back seat floor pan, i have had several that were leaky due to rust.
