Loyale 2.7 Turbo
The Basics: First of All, Disconnect Both Batery Cables, Then Get the Proper Tools and Leave the Car in Neutral but be Careful with it. I Believe This Question will fit Better in New Gen Forums... Good Luck!
Spike
yeah i figured newer but then again my loyale fall under here and its a 91 as well so i was ???
mikeshoup
Cuz your Loyale is from the past. Think of it as an 80s car having been born in the 90s. EJ stuff is all considered new gen, despite sharing the same years as some EA stuff.
Snowman
To answer your question, you could do it in less than 10 minutes, in your sleep, with one hand tied behind your back, and blindfolded. You need a 10mm wrench to disconnect the battery, 12mm (possibly 13mm if it's already got an aftermarket starter) wrench to take off the terminal nut on the starter, and 14mm and 17mm wrenches to remove the starter itself. It's right on top of the engine and very accessable.
