johnc
anybody know who is the independent mechanic/shop with subaru skills that has been mentioned here? Is the shop really subaru-experienced and reliable? I need to get a heavy engine knock diagnosed without driving too far! it began at 2600rpm and above only [sdo i drive slower] but has now [about 200 mi later] crept sometimes into lower rev situations that scare me. Engine is 2.5L DOHC from JY a year and 9000 mi ago [history unknown], professionally installed in 99 OBW, ~175000 mi by me from new. thanks for any input! LeakingOil
The only shop I can think of off hand is AWD, Inc. They are located in West Creek, NJ; 2 hours 37 minutes Estimated Distance: 146.89 miles from you. Here is their link http://www.allwelldrive.net Talk to Tom (board name: TomsSVX) and see what they can do for you. They do travel and they will get the car if need be (you can find all the information on their site). Hope this helps. Smiles, Melis
subaru360
Might have been me. I am in Fleetwood PA. I am an ASE certified master tech, all I do is Subaru. Just send a PM if I can help.
lostinthe202
Even if it's not Subaru360, you might consider him, I respect his posts and he's gotten positive words from some USMB "old timers". Bet he could help you out. Will-
brighton98
I thinkk you're talking about Wedde's Auto in Bath, PA. We've dealt with them several times and they have always been fair and reliable. foxgap
Definetly go see Craig at Wedde's. They just got done doing head gaskets on my Loyale. He also does a lot of custom work like plain jane Impezas with STI under the skin. He has lot of used cars on the lot also.
