I wish I would have got a pic of the white one in the begining, It head light had smashed through the battery, the hood fender, head light, marker light and grill where all gone. I wish I had a White parts car but I had a grey one instead so I replace all that stuff.

whats wrong with the marron one? I would make the damaged car the wheeler, especially since it runs good

Rear window is plastic and I think the TPS is TU. I havn't done any thing with it yet. The guy I got it from said it ran real crappy, so he parked both of them and started driving a mid 80's 4 banger mustang, I got 12 motors so if worst comes to worst........ SPFI EA81!!

No accounting for tastes...

My '85 GL wagon was crushed by someone who decided to drive a '90 Mustang that ran on about 6 out of the 8 cylinders (and the 5 speed had been reduced to a 3 speed.....). Okay.. I sold it to him, but still....

IF it were me i would keep em both, BUT thats me  I cling to cars like a fat kid on a cupcake. I would be more willing to bash up a car thats already been bashed though, just swap the D/R from the maroon one into the white beater and lift it a little and bam. A days work at best, but you already know that

No I hear ya, I'm on a mission to own every subaru in Skagit county, I got 17 again and I think that's about 5 too many. I think there is a guy that wants the white one already....so if it went that quick I won't worry about it. As for the Maroon one it is going to get lifted, I might put my SJR Maroon Wagon for sale after I get the lift and everything else done on the other one, I just replaced the drivers side doors and hatch on it, it needed it, but now it looks like the car of many colors. 8 cans of flat black will make er look just like new!:)

you got 13 days to get it ready for Rieter:eek::lol::grin::banana:

Probably not on this run, I'm going to go 4" instead of 2, the big tires just rub to much. Or maybe 6" then I can run 31" tires!! like Bill does on the Beast. I replaced all the wheelbearings on the Wheeler wagon and now the LF tire rubs like never before.

them 31's are way nice offroad, lots of clearance  I would suggest maybe 9.50 wide instead the 10.50s i have now, might rub less on the inner fender area down by the door. I need to go beat my inner fenders some more, I still get rub at full lock when turning.

Don't you have an EA81 in yours too?

I got an EA81 in my Maroon Wheeler wagon too. I used an EA82 intake on it though so there are a few thing different. I should have just used the EA81 intake, but It gave me a little practice an how to do an EA81 SPFI swap. Is your carbed or injected?

I have a EA82 intake with a 32/36 Weber on mine, I had to make spacers for the manifold to clear the block though, but I think my manifold is the exception, Jerry has done umpteen EA82 manifolds on EA81 motors and had no clearance problems like I did (figures). The EA82 manifold has slightly larger diameter intake runners and flows a bit better, but you HAVE to have a Hitachi distributor to make it fit, or modify the little plate the disty bolts to. Im actually running an EA71 Ditsy filled with EA81 internals that I pieced together from 4 distributors  I never did reattach my power steering though, some days I wish I had, but I just strong arm it, its funny when my buddy tries to drive it off road cuz when the wheel kicks back from a rock he aint ready and it always kicks his a$$
