heartless
ok, i can see i am gonna have to do several versions to keep everyone happy!! LOL the most recent incarnation - lowered stance for Psyko (& those of a like mind) and lowered & trimmed the grill area a bit - it does look better... also reworked the mirror - lost the "chrome" look, made it more body color - still not 100% satisfied, but i think it looks better than it did... i dunno - kind of like the headlight lines as they are (in my version) - kinda mean looking - altho will try the amber instead of blue led's... [/url] keep the comments coming guys!! Edited January 13, 2009 by heartless wrong pic...
Psyko
Wow, keep up the good work. Like mentioned, the mirrors could probably still use some work. Not just in color, but in size. Looking at a current Legacy (pic) it's easy to see what size is more useable. Also, I do like the look of the lowered version, but totally understand the plight due to snow since I grew up with the stuff. Raising it would actually be more like the current model and seem to please more people. I'm just one of those crazy people that thinks purpose built and will be lowering his Brat. :-p Other than that, I really like the revised grill. It was just begging to be shorter. It looks especially good in your full front revision picture (pic).
heartless
ok, one more for tonight. did the whole front end, changed led's to amber. has the lower stance at this time - eyes getting too tired to mess with the background so just a basic gradient for now...enjoy

LOL - i must have been typing when you posted this reply... i see what you mean about the mirror size - something to work on... dont get me wrong - i like the low & lean look, just not real practical for snow driving - one of these days.... nipper
Those arent mirrors, they are camera pods, the mirror display is in the center of the dash. Thats a gimmick as it is not DOT aproved. nipper
The Beast I Drive
I like your photoshop, it looks better than the real one, but the chrome under the grill is still hideous IMO. Also I think if you lowered the roof line about a inch (just the roof top) it would look better, and i personally vouche for the raised stance as well. -Bill
heartless
A thread was started in the "new gen" section about the new Legacy concept car - most said it was ugly, myself included...in an effort to "improve" the car i started playing in photoshop.... I have decided that I needed to move my "revisions" here since it isnt really relevant to the orginal thread... the following is a progression of the "revisions", created with input by other members. enjoy... photo of the original car (lightened to make it easier to see)... 1st & 2nd "revisions" - half original, half photochop - stance the only real change between the two...1st being taller for those of us in snow country, 2nd lowered for those that prefer that (Psyko) ... full "head on" view - also changed led's to amber as suggested by bheinen74... and finally - lowered roofline just a little (as suggested by the beast i drive) & 3 different versions of the grill area revisions - it was suggested by olnik that the grill be lowered more & center bar be thinned down some. once i thinned the center bar something looked "off" so played a little - thinking i like the last version best - what does everyone else think?? oh, and made the mirrors larger, more in proportion... comments and suggestions for further improvements are welcome (and encouraged) will be playing with a side view of the car soon... Psyko
Well, this looks much more like what a Subaru should, but not as good as heartless' photochops, in my opinion. http://jalopnik.com/5168626/2010-subaru-legacy-outback-like-the-concept-but-toned+down
screwbaru2
Looks like I'll be keeping my 97 for a lot longer than I thought. I wouldn't accept a ride in that ugly hunk of iron never might buying and driving one! This commdent is for the original picture not the photoshoped one that I can't see because photobucket is blocked here at work. sleepylegacy
Dont really like the new legacy concept looks way too much like an Audi/infinity/Toyota/Chevy and ford. to me nothing is appealing.
