zyewdall
The interstates were parking lots this morning in Denver. I had no trouble getting down to Boulder from my house in the mountains -- only about 6 inches of fresh snow, kind of plowed on the main road, not on the side roads. A bit slick in places, but the Justy had no trouble at all. Luckily very few other cars on my commute, so I didn't have to play bumper cars with big SUVs with summer tires
subiemech85
woke up this morning to the sound of neighbor's work truck chevy 3500 duramax auto, service body stuck in the "skating rink" 4+" of snow covering 1+" of ice woke up subaru to try to help, broke nylon tow strap, tried chain, and all 3 tires spin, try brother's bronco and 2 tires spin, he now wants lsd, finally got the truck free using shovels and sand went to town during the "blizzARD" and it was near whiteout some times pushbutton 4x4 sure is nice going up the driveway hill in fwd was a little "sticky" didn't notice not in 4x4 until it wouldn't go any more trying to make the last turn, but in 4x4 no problem subaru 4x4 + winterforce snows + lsd =
The Dude Abides
It amazes me how simple it is for me to drive in traffic with the 4wd. I will never go back.
7point62fmj
I got white out pretty bad. It was the first time driving the new brat with a lift and bigger tires.. This car is way to light whith that wind and Ice beating me like a red headed step child. On the other hand the LSD did quite nice. It still scared the poop out of me. Every time I would slip I would end up side ways in the on comming traffic lane. Pluss the fact I need to clean the carb and it whent WOT on me twice. mcbrat
I drove the 78 Brat last night to my offroad club meeting, then drove it again sthis morning, though it was a bit stiff starting this morning, and it took some effort to pull it into gear with the gear oil at -8*F glad the heater is good in it, but at -8*F it's still cold inside and I just looked. up to +1*F woohoo.....
