Closure !!

Recommended Posts

i love the site, unlimited info, a lot of people that know what they're talking about.

but,

i hate threads that have no ending.

i know the main thing is a solution to whatever problem the author my have had, but it would be good to know if and how a problem was fixed.

there are relative old threads to just about everything but most have no indication of an outcome.

fixed, still broke, set on fire and pushed over a hill, something.

not complaining, just hate loose ends and unfinished stories.

thanks, Bill

" thanks, Bill"

And thanks to you Bill!!

Very well stated and sometimes called "Follow up"

People using the "search " would be helped aslo.

Sure would be nice if more people that got help

returned the favor by following up with

"That was the the fx it was the......."

Well said sir, lets hope you bringing it light helps.

I know how that is.

I know I've been down a few that started to give me the info for a problem.

Only to come to a dead end, like everyone just lost interest in the problem.

I'm sure it was a situation where another search was done, they got thier info out of another thread, and never returned to the thread they started to let everyone know.

It happens.

And for some reason I feel bad about bumping six year old dead threads back up to the top. I just search more. :)

Gotta just remember the age of some of the Soobs here. And the fact most problems if not all have a thread (or a few) with the answer on here somewhere.

Not saying the site is as old as the Soobs. Just that almost anything that can go wrong, has to at least one of the cars here and has been discussed.

(And can only hope at least one thread relating to a problem was finished up)

Well stated Bill, but........

Oh heck, I was going to leave that sentence incomplete,

but I'm trying to turn over a new leaf and not be such an rump roast sometimes.

I agree, when searching threads it would be cool if there was an indication of closure

or if the suggestions in the thread just sent the person on a wild goose chase.

It is disappointing when I do a search before posting

and find myself reading 5 pages only to find out

that no one solved/answered the question/issue at hand.

Bill - great thread. Maybe you should rename it "New Leaf"

I have a "new leaf" as you see.

This being to get people to use the almighty "enter key"

more often.

How much easier is it to absorb and understand what

someone is saying if

there are breaks in the paragraph.

Sorry for this interuption, I hope you understand.
