oldschool
For thos who have done the ej swap. Is that what you half to do in order to run the fan. Mount it on the other side of the radiator faceing the bumper. From the looks of it there isnt much room there where they normaly go. Hey you can run two draw fans between the motor and rad! You hav eto do a bit of mods to them, but it will work. I did it

The Scooby
well if it takes 6 days for me to get the wiring, then a day if the weather holds out to do the wiring. then ill get some video's of it running for the first time, then once i finish the exhaust i can get some of it playing off road. bratman18
What exactly are you doing with the exhaust? Just cutting and welding to make it fit? I would be interested in seeing some pics of the exhaust when you get that all buttoned up. Still can't wait to see and hear it after it's done!! The Scooby
well im running a single port engine, so i have the 98 single port Y-pipe, to the stock 98 cats for now until i can get a test pipe made (eleminates cats) and after that i have a stock flange bolted on with about 4inches of pipe off the end. i plun on running a 2.25inch exhaust and a little muffler in the stock location. i hope to fab that up today at work, as well as finish the bash plate. bratman18
So does that mean that the stock EJ y-pipe will bolt up with no mods? Or do you have to do anything to it to get by the front crossmember? Sorry, these are probably stupid questions but I was just curious.
The Scooby
y-pipe fit fine, but the cats hit the X-member, but nothing a 15lbs BFH couldn't solve. so today ill just do some finishing touches like readjusting where some things sit so its more visually pleasing, as well as more clearance. then i have to do the RR wheel bearing on my dad's 99 outback. Thanks for the explanation! Awesome project!! Good luck with the wheel bearing!
The Scooby
oh im just swapping hubs, the one i got from my work has a newer bearing in it so ill just that. i got the cats to clear, might get a little rattle here and there but we will see how it works. if they hit alot ill make the test pipe, if they don't they will stay on. when im done with everything im gonna take it through emissions for ************s and giggles even though it doesn't need it from where i have it registered. Numbchux
im gonna wire in a LED i think for the oil light there's an oil light on the EA82 dash on the left side right under the gauge cluster (the little bar where the check engine light and whatnot are). as the DLs didn't have a gauge. I used this on the '86 I did last summer.
The Scooby
cool thanks matt. i figured out im going to run the fuel pump wire all the way to the pump, then ground it under the car. but it looks like i don't have the relay for the fuel pump as well as the ignition relay (plugs are there, they just are missing) so i figure i need them. i taped the ALT to the stock ALT wiring basically. hooked up the fan, ran the intake harness through the fender, and the engine harness through where the strut tower grommet is. forgot my camera today so hope to remember it tomorrow. BIG UPS FOR TEX FOR THE HELP THANKS AGAIN MAN I REALLY APPRECIATE IT

Loyale 2.7 Turbo
Excuse me for This Question, but in this Picture: ... ... I See that the Skid Plate under the Engine, goes too much Down... Too Low, very Near to the Floor. is that the Way it will Be, or is just a work in Progress? ... Because if it Remains like That, it will be Scary to Drive in Off Road Conditions and seems Like the Lift Kit is Working Just to Prevent the Oil Pan from Hitting the Floor. But Beside that, it Looks Beautiful... I Like it! Kind Regards!
