The Scooby Posted January 28, 2009 Author Share Posted January 28, 2009 well im going to run all stock lines, many others have without any problems. but the feed line in the engine bay should be fine. i would like to remove the stock fuel lines and rerun new lines but i dont have time to do so. I went to the junk yard and pulled fuel lines for EFI Subarus and it didn't cost me anything, and it took me all of 5 to 10 minutes to replace all the rubber lines in the car. Any job worth doing is a job worth doing right. I know you might be eager to get your car going but cutting corners now will be much more costly and time consuming in the end. SubaruJawn Posted February 8, 2009 Share Posted February 8, 2009 anyone post pix of were the wiring starts and ends on the legacy ? from engine to ECU (dash apart that is) i have manual that tells me how to take dash apart (most of the fear gone) knowing I've done some petty wiring gives me a little confidence. (trying to build confidence on the swap) Last dash I pulled took me about an hour to get out and I had to be nice (just doing a heater core) There are surprisingly few bolts holding it in... just get it out of the way. ok don't see were the wires are at. I have an 88 XT 5 spd and want to put a EJ20t into it. Am i able to use the EA tranny? will it bolt up to the bell housing and crossmember? rpholz Posted December 10, 2011 Share Posted December 10, 2011 search function is handy.... that being said no. you have to use an adaptor plate with the ea flywheel redrilled to bolt on the ej. also up pipe may or may not clear the crossmember but i cant recall at the moment.
