Andy FitzGibbon
On EA82 cars with AWD (full time 4WD) single range 5 speed transmissions- do they have a center diff lock, like the RX dual range AWD trannies do? Thanks, Andy
Caboobaroo
The only difference between the dingle range and the dual range FT4wd trannies is just that, one is signle range and one is dual range. Both have the locking center diff but only the single range came in a 3.7 final and a 3.9 final drive.
zyewdall
But the dual range are not full time 4wd. I didn't think the single range were either... but I've never owned one, so I really don't know. Z

The dual range is the fabled "RX" tranny and the single range came in the manual XT6s and were also put into the GL-10 sedans and coupes in '88 and '89. It was a 1.15:1 low range, instead of the 1.59:1 dual range of the part time 4wd 5 speed, right?
