bratman18
I would simply get one that has no rust, and then use your good SPFI motor in that one. I guess pick the cleanest one for the cheapest amount of money, and then put your good motor in. If you put an SPFI in a car that was/is carbed then you'll also have to swap the wiring harness as well!

I would like to have a s/w dual range 5 speed 4wd. I'd go for the '85, and swap over the running gear from your current one. Have to move all the SPFI stuff over too. Personally, I would not go with the automatic transmission one, or the sedan -- I just don't like either of those. You could put the 5 speed in the automatic tranny one, and deal with that swap, but they you are doing a tranny swap, and a SPFI swap (or keep the carbureator intake manifold). subyfreak
$400 for a solid body sounds like a great project. Just pick the one you like most and let the fun begin.
jetdoc
Thanks guysfor the quick ideas.. I just found this site last week. so Im still learning alot. The wiring Im alittle unsure of..the 1987 is the best body and the 1991 16vlv 1.8 mpfi eng is the best shape.. Im thinking of getting the 4dr coup 5dr and the 1987 s/w auto ,that way i can still dive my rusty subie. while Im building one.just dont have a place yet to park them all. Twitch de la Brat
Heh heh heh, It seems, my good sir, that you are a subaru owner. You have one and you're buying two more just for fun And yeah, I would definitely go with the one with the best body and the other with the best engine. Have fun with your new project(s) Twitch
