mellow65
the spfi system shouldn't run any lights but subaru likes to intertwine their harnesses so pulling the spfi harness might involve more then you think. i gave good advice to a buddy of mine that did a ej swap when he wanted to start removing extra wires from under the hood. if it works just leave it alone. needless to say he didn't listen to me and he started to cut a bunch of wires out. they weren't just "laying" there, they did something important, his car didn't run after that. subaruguru
ok so i have been looking at the wireing diagrams for the coupe they are here this is the engine harness with the ECU and it looks like it just has the engine gobble no lights or anything. and here is the bod wireing shows lights and the horn and seatbelts ect. and to what i can see nothing conecting it to the engines ECU so can anyone tell me for shure the car dosent havea tach its a DL the only thing i can think of that might run to the dash from the ECU is the temp guage and i think oil light as its a dl it only has the speedo (analog) the temp and fule then the idiot lights so thats about what i know as far as the ea82 spfi removal gose i will start tomorow but still help is glady accepted thanks Rob
