bheinen74
yes, why didnt you go for a 91leg tranny? either way, there are PLENTY of 3.9 diffs around.
Numbchux
agreed. many cars with a manual had a 3.90, so those rear diffs are quite common. if you don't swap them, your transfer clutches will burn out in very short order, and then you'll only have FWD. rtcaravan
thats what i thought just like a reg. 4x4 truck . i'll have to get back up to harry's u pull it for the rear. i got the 93 trans because it had the lowest milage the wagon was wrecked and it said on the window it ran and moved. it works good in fwd. rtcaravan
what all rears will fit in my legacy wagon (loyale , brat ,outback) 3.90 w/ lsd in it
bratman18
what all rears will fit in my legacy wagon (loyale , brat ,outback) 3.90 w/ lsd in it if you are looking for a direct LSD swap in. You would have to find a VLSD from a 5 spd Legacy turbo 91-94. Other than that you'd have to "build" one from a turbo GL and those are hard to find now as well. abog
You should be able to use the rear lsd from an SVX, and change the ring and pinion for the proper ratio. SVX's are 3:
