rtcaravan
did you pull any codes out and if so how did you do it because mine comes on and off ???
murphsubaru
Codes came from Autozone computer. Pulling the negative battery cable for a few hours did reset the Check Engine light. It has not come back on, it must have been the faulty oxygen sensor. Thank you eveyone for your help!

Your particular code may be hard set fault, meaning the ECM sees a fault without the engine running, like a sensor that is unplugged. Check around your engine and you will probably find it. If not you may have a broken wire or a bad ground.

Told me if I got another CEL I needed new plugs. Got another CEL shortly after and I replaced the plugs myself. Been driving around with the CEL for 2 weeks now. crash321
mmmm didn't know it was for a misfire. Got me on that one. Maybe your car just takes longer to reset. Take the cable off for a few hours, then reconnect it. That will reset it. It only takes 10 minutes on my 98 OBW. Edit.... Maybe need new wires also, just a thought.
