ccrinc
If you're losing oil without any other good explanation. No leaks, no blowby, no seeps from valve covers. Emily http://www.ccrengines.com
sub_dont_touch
What does this do exactly? How does it affect the performance?
screwbaru2
What does this do exactly? How does it affect the performance? Positive Crankcase Ventilation. It routes unburned gases from the crankcase into the intake manifold to be burned. If it hasn't been changed lately or when you take it out and shake it, it doesn't make noise like something is loose (the valve) then change it. Lose of power, rough running, oil in the airbox are all signs the PCV valve needs changing. These things are too cheap to keep.
sub_dont_touch
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y154/Vincentmoy/ej18b-1.jpg  How do I go about changing this? DO I just remove the bolt from the intake manifold? Or is it the pipe aswell?
crash321
remove rubber hose and take a wrench and simply unscrew it:)
Olnick
The "bolt" is the valve itself. You may need to soak the threads with some penetrating oil to loosen it. Then use a little anti-seize on the threads of the new one. The pipe is a rubber hose. Suggest you take it off and clean it out inside with brake or carburetor cleaner. Good luck! sub_dont_touch
I took it out and it looks all black and greasy. The valve still rattles. Will just change it when I find somewhere that stocks them. ..Thanks for the help everyone.. just wondering what is the one next to the PCV http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y15...oy/ej18b-1.jpg
