Caramanos2000
Will some wheels off an EA-81 fit onto the EA-82?
bratman18
depends on the wheel but usually no. They might fit if your brake pads are not new. If you have new pads the wheels will hit the brake calipers
Caramanos2000
The wheels are the white 8 spoked 13" jackmans.
The Beast I Drive
If they are true Gen 1 Brat Jackman wheels with the "J" stamped in them, they will fit. BUT, if they are just EA81 wagon spoke wheels they will NOT fit, no way no how. Some EA81 steelies will fit, but others wont. -Bill
Phizinza
File! ... seriously, could you just file the caliper? I mean if its a distance difference of new or old brake pads then you could surely just take a bit of the caliper off, if you were certain it wouldn't cause it too all explode:eek:
bratman18
I can't remember how much they hit with new pads. but I know they do. I have run them before though and as long as your pads are at half life they fit fine
Major Lazy
These are NOT jackman wheels simply EA-81 white spoked wagon wheels. I remember reading that EA81 wheels will not fit EA82's on the front. (I am selling the ea81 wagon wheels)
bratman18
They will fit!!!! Just not with new pads. If you have new pads they will hit the brake caliper
mcbrat
and it's just the shape of the wheels because of the curve of the center section. not the offset.
88RxTuner
Yes, they will fit, but NO, not with new brake pads.. Are you planning on finding half-worn pads when you replace brakes? The calipers hit the wheels when fully extended, as stated it has nothing to do with offset, but the EA81 wheels have less radius on the 'spokes' of the wheel. If you look at the EA82 wagon wheels, the outer part of the 'spoke' is bent almost 90 degrees to provide a larger interior diameter to fit the brake calipers. Hope this helps. 88RxTuner EDIT: NO, I would not file the caliper any...

bratman18
No do not file the caliper, if you wanted to run them temporary that would be one thing, nut these won't work for a permanent solution because when you replace your front pads, you'll be s$%t out of luck! Caramanos2000
I like these wheels. Would anyone mind me filing the calipers? What is the distance that needs clearance?
bratman18
I like these wheels. Would anyone mind me filing the calipers? What is the distance that needs clearance? It's quite a bit! I really wouldn't file the calipers, you would actually need to take a grinder to them.

Well you have to find a set you like and then get someone who will ship them to you! If I had a set, I would ship them for you, but I don't. But there has got to be someone who will!
