thermalsurfing1
hay, we just put ea81 springs in our 99 outback struts and it works awesome ! anyone else try this ?
bratman18
So this makes me wonder if newer style springs will fit in old style struts, for instance, I have a set of WRX springs, would they fit into a set of EA82 struts? And would they be too stiff?

Zefy
what did you do with the spring seat? is it just sitting in there all willy nilly? probably not a problem as a lot of 'coilover kits' do that with collars... i'm also assuming this was for the front? what about the rear? more ea81 springs? rtcaravan
if you got 3" out of the outback struts with the ea81 springs aren't the struts topped out when on the car? you wouldn't have any rebound, every time you hit a bump the tires would come off the ground because you wouldn't have the extra travel to absorb the bumps.:-\
