subieman666
Is there any way to put in lockers in the front and rear diffs in any of the 80's subie wagons????? cause i get rather tired of open diffs.:dead::dead:
bratman18
search. There is a lot of info on here about doing things for this. You can weld the rear diff or swap in an LSD. The front is more complicated, but I believe it can be done. Do a search for LSD

subieman666
Weld up the diffs. well i will look into lsd, cause i would like to keep my soob as much a daily driver as possible (so welding the front and rear diffs are kinda outta the question) cause until my sons are bigger it is going to be my family soob then when they are older it is going to be my monster soob. Phizinza
When searching this forum for anything under 4 letters, like LSD, use the wildcard trick. That is search for LSD* There is no company that make lockers for front or rear. You can change the drivetrain, major fabrication work, and get lockers that way. Or you can weld the rear and remove the right shaft when on the road. I would not suggest a locked front though, the subies drivetrain is already weak enough. Add a locker and you'll be snapping diff stubs, axles etc. And unlike the rear diff a front diff stub requires splitting the gearbox apart.
