subyboy
Hey all! Just noticed that one of the 'rails' that support the floor under the front seats has a bit of a gap near the end. Few questions: What are these 'rails' actually called? What is their purpose (support floor, rigidity)? Is it bad if there's a gap between the 'rail' and the floor (2" long, 1/10" wide)? Should I worry about it? Is it a roadworthy issue? Thanks, Jean
lmdew
Year and make? I've never seen the under body supports pull away from the floor pan. Strange
subyboy
'91 Legacy Looks like maybe I hit something that pushed the floor up and away from the supports. Either that or some dodgy mechanic put a jack next to the support and it pushed the floor up?
subyboy
Here's a pic. Gap is only about 1/10 of an inch (2mm) To worry or not to worry, that is the question...
crash321
Any clunking or creaking? Rust? I see new undercoat. Probably ok to keep driving
subyboy
Haven't noticed any clunking or creaking. No rust either. Just saw it as I was spraying it as preventative maintenance.
