jtisdel Posted March 11, 2009 Share Posted March 11, 2009 does anyone know if the alternator for a 2005 legacy is interchangeable with an older model. the stores i have been calling are saying b/c it is a newer car that the parts are not available yet except by dealer. i dont really want to pay those crazy prices. You may be able to find a local rebuilder, but be warned, sometimes the volt regular or diode trio (well they are more then trios now) can cost more then just getting a rebuilt alt. nipper Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
