XT6 Magic
I just bought this RS from Billy Clements (founder of USMB), http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220374755632#history Does anyone have a recommendation for shipping it to the Seattle area from Thomasville GA before I go with Dependable Auto Shippers? Thanks, -Jeff
Bucky92
I used DAS when I had my 83 coupe shipped from Seattle to Connecticut. I would use them again without any worries. I highly recommend them. And the price was great ( I chose top load which cost alittle more )
Durania
I wish I had those gold 5 spoke wheels for my RS. There is getting to be a lot more RS owners on here in the last few months. Remember the 98 motor is DOHC and is prone to internal head gasket leaks. Here is mine:

Bubs360
My father had an old Ford Thunderbird shipped to New Hampshire from Colorado a few years back with DAS. They were pretty good and the car arrived with no problems.

XT6 Magic
DAS did it again. I just picked up the RS today. It shipped all the way across the country and it looks great! Although I have all of the service records it's hard to tell if the head gaskets were ever replaced. Is there an easy way to tell by looking? Although I have all of the service records it's hard to tell if the head gaskets were ever replaced. Is there an easy way to tell by looking? Yup, look on the top of the block where they are sticking out. If you see brownish stuff between two layers of metal, those are the originals. If it's multi layer metal, they have been changed. The tabs sticking up look different, but I don't have pics to show right now. There were at least 3 different part number gaskets. The latest update is the only one that lasts. Durania
You got any new pictures of the RS? I still see your car in some craiglist ads.
XT6 Magic
@subaru360 I must have the original HG's after all:rolleyes: On the passenger side I see one rusty inner layer with a single outer layer separating from each side. I wonder how they have managed to last over 200K? It looks like I'll be doing them, but so far it runs great. @Durania I'll put some pictures of it up as soon as we dry out a little bit.
