Fre$h_turk
Hey guys I got a 1994 Legacy for $300 and the guy had a newly rebuilt alternator in it It left me on the road after about 25 miles of driving. Car shut off on the highway so I decided that it was the alternator Went back to the seller, got the receipt and got an another alternator The guy said "the regulator broke" So I installed it and I hear this VERY LOUD squeak... I'm guessing thats because it needs to be tightened but smoke is coming out of the belt...So doesnt that mean its TIGHT already? or its making that because of friction How could I tighten it? The two 12 MM bolts ? Here's the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HnMaOR1j78 PS. I need a black arm rest piece and a driver side mirror for this car ( just the mirror )
ou812
Its pretty tough to get them too tight....chances are the smoking is from slipping, from being too loose. Tighten it up!
