Ken_B
What RPMS does a 4 speed d/r EA81 run at: 60 MPH: 65 MPH: 70 MPH: 75 MPH: What is the redline of and EA81? What RPMS does a 5 speed s/r EA82 run at: 60 MPH: 65 MPH: 70 MPH: 75 MPH: What is the redline of and EA82? If you had a choice which car would you take on a trip from Western Washington to Southeastern Wyoming, assuming they both are in about the same average good condition and both are carbed and both have an equal amout of "stuff" in them, which would you take? ihscout54
They both have the same final drive ratios, and similar high gear ratios. I bet you are also running close to the same size tires on both cars. The '83 and up 4spd D/R has a slightly taller 4th than the 5 spds 5th gear. So this may not really be a factor in your decision. The EA82 might be a little more comfortable and have a little more room for your stuff.
