Olnick
Gloyale, your revelation in this thread . . . http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?p=809188#post809188 . . . about o-ring failure in the coolant crossover pipe really got me to thinking. Seems like it could help explain at least some of the air getting into the coolant system resulting in overheating. How do you replace the o-rings? Do you have to pull off the intake manifold to get to it? Thanks for any info.
Gloyale
How do you replace the o-rings? Do you have to pull off the intake manifold to get to it? pretty easy actually. yes you do pull the intake, then you can unbolt the crossover pipe. O rings are easy to install. Cheap from the dealer, cheaper if you can match it up with a bulk ring but it has to be pretty thick.
Olnick
Thanks, Gloyale. I think it's a potential problem area that we should all be aware of.
