Uberoo
When I bought my subaru its grill and headlight surrounds were broken. They were held on with ductape.Same with the bumper cover. So today I set out to see if I could make it look any better. I removed what was left of the headlight surrounds and the grill. Then I removed the bumper cover, and reattached the lights into the bumper.the corner lights on the bumper cover I put into the fenders. Then I spray painted the silver/rust that was hidden by the broken headlight surrounds black, with some paint I had around. At least now I am in no danger of my licence plate falling off now...I know its kinda like polishing a turd, but what can ya do? I dunno what do you think? before: http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n45/Uberoo/Subaru%20stuff/?action=view¤t=newbaru2.jpg After: http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n45/Uberoo/Subaru%20stuff/?action=view¤t=DSCF0013.jpg http://s109.photobucket.com/albums/n45/Uberoo/Subaru%20stuff/?action=view¤t=DSCF0014.jpg
baccaruda
polishing a turd only gets your hands dirty. you'll be less likely to get pulled over if the bumper looks intact.

baccaruda
OK, seriously. Get some 1/2" by 10g or 8g sheet metal screws. Drill pilot holes if you have to. Screw the bumper cover onto the metal superstructure behind the chrome trim strip. Glue that back on with .. whatever you want to use for glue. Blam, you gottabumpa. Get paint that matches the color of the car and use it instead of black. flatten out the license plate. Then you got yerself a 10 footer.

If I had some spare parts I'd send 'em your way. It wouldn't take much to make it look complete again.

Uberoo
I wish I had a better pic of what it looked like before I messed with it.It really does look better than before.its just the "before" picture doesnt look that bad, because it only captures one corner. What you wouldnt have seen would have been the grill broken in two places-held hold with ductape, and the headlight surrounds were missing large "chunks". That and the car is my offroad car.eventually I will put a C channel bumper on it with an expanded metal "grill" that covers the lights, but I will still be able to replace them...
