I am going wheeling today.Judging from some of the expected vehicles that are going up I willl truely be an underdog.Chevy blazer on 44" tires,Ford bronco on 38" tire a toyota on 36" and a bunch of smaller jeeps, sammies, and toyotas.

then the little subaru with 26" tractor tires.

I will get some pics, although I willl be back tomarrow (all nighter wheeling trip baby!)

the chevy on 44" boggers has been featured in the top truck challange in fourwheeler magazine.

heres a video of it. : http://www.fourwheeler.com/videos/6200438/four-wheeler-tv-dennis-menace-2004-top-truck-challenge-video/index.html the video doesnt show him doing great but it does show the truck.

sorry

no pics.I forgot my camera.this weekend I had the choice of going skiing or going 4x4ing.I choose to go go wheeling.I wish I woulda went skiing.I had open diffs all around so with my tractor tires one tire would find traction then the other tire would dig a hole.Spent 3 hours triing to go about 100 yards. The one of my tires started leaking and fell of the bead.so I just backed onto the road put my road tires on and went home. Not to mention I was having alot of problems with bad wiring connectors.sometimes the damn thing wouldnt start, sometimes it didnt have any electricity at all, other times it would just crank and fire up like nothing was wrong.

The plus side, I installed some lights on the roof, but they are not working either.A wire must come lose or something.

so Im just gonna go get a pizza, drink some beer and call it a day.

I HATE SNOW!!!!My subaru is unstoppable in mud,but snow....

That and I need to weld my diff.

yea I know, was kind of a poor showing for suburus. Those tractor tires were just digging to much on the snow to be useful. I wonder if maybe some 26" or 27" all terrains on 14 or 15" wheels might be better.

still though it will probally be like a month before I head out again.

how do you take pics of your car when out wheeling?

I ALWAYS have a spotter they don't do their job too well but they get some good vids and pics, and I figure if I get stuck in the woods they are a back up plan for food!!
