CaptainBob
Beware. I have just had the worst customer service from Draco I have ever experienced in my adult life. I took my Legacy GT (blown motor, turbo came apart) to Draco in May 2008 for repair. I just got it back today, 4/10/2009. They charged me $2000 above my estimate and even tried to charge me storage fees when I couldn't pick the car up last week, even though they took almost a year to complete. While Barry may be a good mechanic, I have never been disrespected like I was by his wife, Leslyn. In some cases it took me days or weeks to just get a status update on my car. In what world is it ok to charge $2000 above the estimate and take almost a year to complete a repair. Stay away from Draco.
EVOthis
You could prob. bring up some sort of lawsuit if they did work to your car and they gave you an improper estimate and now there demanding you pay...I would be furious...
idosubaru
that sucks, hope it at least runs okay now? usually with stuff like this, there's more going on behind the scenes. is this your first post? what is Draco? where are you? why did it take so long, it obviously sat for some reason. why didn't you go get it after 2 months, have it towed somewhere else? what was the original estimate? CNY_Dave
Typically, any reputable shop will have on the written estimate that you must approve an upward deviation of the estimate if the increase is more than 10%. Dave
bheinen74
could be much worse. they could have needed another year to fix it. this is bogus from the start i would think. Come on guys, a year to fix a blown motor. NO WAY that is real.
