erik litchy
so i bought a engine that needs new headgaskets what are some must do things for this engine? are delta cams a good idea? im going with gapless rings, they work great in my ea82, no regrets there. i also took off about .050 my heads, whats a good number for the ej22? since it has bad headgasket oil could have been contaminated so i will go with new rod and crank bearings, is any brand preferred? also i have the er27 exhaust on my car, it should be good enough for this engine right? its a lot better than stock is. GeneralDisorder
You need to post in the new gen forum. EJ22's are 1990 and newer. GD

bratsrus1
Hi This is Jerry, you forgot to get the engine balanced and polish the conecting rods. It romoves weight and makes the rods stronger. If you are going to do all that work then don't forget these steps. Thanks Jerry
