AlaskanProtege
OK so i understand that a 2.0 or 2.5 head will fit a 2.2 block, matter affact their all pertty much interchangeable minus the gaskets. but i have heard of major compressions drops if u use the 2.0 head... so im looking for someone thats knows what they are talking about. I have been researching valve lift and others critical items. But i wanna hear from someone that has already done it. I Have a 1998 buru Preza L. Its my wifes care and she has been nagging to get more power. "after a got my 06 preza" So im thinking of getting a new short block 2.2 and slapping some 2.0dohc heads on there. Also i am trying to convert my 2.5sohc into dohc with wrx heads. so i need to know what im up agenst so i dont %$#^ up. I have been a tech for 5 years and been playing with motors my whole life. but there is nothing better than personal experience. so if anyone has any info, help a fellow buru junky out. erik litchy
you are saying addng more cams adds power? why? i think you would have better result sending the cams to delta instead.
subaru360
Any EJ head fits any EJ block. What you want to do makes no sense. You won't gain any power by adding wrx heads to either of those cars. The 2.0 usdm wrx heads aren't that great as far as flow and the cams are designed for a turbo car. You would also need the complete wrx intake manifold, the bolt pattern is different. Jerry DeMoss
You are better off getting a ej22turbo block and puting wrx heads on it. Also what are you doing in the north pole with a turbo subie? I grew up in Soldotna/Kenai peninsula and I haven't seen many people going that route.
