gray wrx Posted April 24, 2009 Share Posted April 24, 2009 well I have been searching for info on high oil psi and cant find what I am looking for I just put a new oil psi sending unit in the old one was showing 0 psi I grounded the wire the gauge pegged so I put the new sending unit in now it is red lined at idol and stays there my Haynes manual has nothing on how to troubleshoot this is this the oil psi switch or valve how do you troubeshoot too much oil psi thanks for the help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

idosubaru Posted April 24, 2009 Share Posted April 24, 2009 yep, what car, mileage, what motor, any modifications or recent issues/work? sounds like you may have the wrong replacement switch, it's calibrated improperly or the gauge is bad. i doubt you actually *have* high psi.
