How to Seafoam '84 GL (Carborated)

Recommended Posts

So I've used Seafoam on my subaru WRX before and also other cars with good results. I'm not very mechanically inclined and this is my first carb'd car.

Can anybody explain the best places to add seafoam to a '84 Subaru GL? If you have a link with pics that would be great, because most likely I won't know where part/hose X is.

Thanks

You can also get your engine good and warm, and while its idling, slowly pour it into the throat of your carb. Your engine will want to stall, but just slow down spilling it into the carb and let the engine recover. Do this till about half the can is in the carb/engine then give it a Big drink to kill the engine. Turn off your ignition and let your car sit for about ten minutes. While your waiting, pour the remaining Seafom into your gas tank. Start it back up and go for a drive. Drive around till the exhaust clears up. Thats what I do. And it should give you a better/smoother idle.
