gschloyale
Hi every body.. I have a 1992 subaru loyale with a ea 82 mpfi engine, and a have a very strange problem. when i started my subaru, i heard a bubble noise coming from the heater, then when i pass the 3000 rpm the noise returns, finally when i stop the engine, a few seconds later i hear bubbles circulation. when i look the coolant reservoir, there are bubbles coming from the radiator. the first thing i think, is the posibility of a head gasket blowing, but there isnt bubbles in the radiator when the engine is running. i replaced the thermostat and the coolant but the problem persists. Any ideas???? maybe air in to the circuit, or cavitation of the water pump??? greetings
GeneralDisorder
You need to bleed the air from the cooling system. Put the vehicle on a hill with the nose up and burp the air out by massageing the upper and lower radiator hoses - running the engine a little with the cap off helps as well. It's tricky and takes some work with the EA82's. GD
