CNY_Dave
So what the heck is Shell (or showa) 6459N wheel bearing grease? The manual states to add some grease to the wheel bearing seals, and that it has to match. Dave
porcupine73
Ah let's see...no suprise it is a grease made in Tokyo by SHOWA SHELL SEKIYU KABUSHIKI KAISHA so might be hard to find around here. Hm that info is from '98 who knows if it's even made anymore.
porcupine73
It's mostly in Japanese...but http://www.oranpage.com/product/196171 Here's some place that has it, looks like Honda used it also. However price is in euros so don't know where they're out of http://www.cmsnl.com/products/greaseshell-6459_52102hn2p00/
CNY_Dave
I found some of the info you guys found, but not the honda part link- the manual says to apply grease to the seal lips, I've heard from a few sources the grease comes packed into the seal lip already. Thanks, I just don't want to spend any time flopping around saturday doing this wheel-bearing job... Dave
