Just call whoever you buy parts from.

You'll want the upgraded metal one and the new screws that it takes. I don't know it that's what will be listed for the 95, but it's what you want if yours needs replacing.

I recently had my 996 C2 serviced at a local OPC and it has come back with advice that the oil separator needs replacing. I have searched the site as much as I can, and the usual signs seem to be smoking on startup or a chirping noise. I have no smoke at all and no noise.

How can I ensure that this work needs doing and what harm does not having the separator replaced cause?

I'd take this up on a Porsche site. They may be significantly different than a Subaru, even if they're both flat 4's.

On a Subaru the a leaking oil separator plate allows oil to drip on the exhaust, etc.

Please start a new thread. Don't 'hijack' an existing one.

Good luck,

Td
