WCSS 11 Date and Location!

August 28th, 29th & 30th

Skamania County Fairgrounds in Stevenson, WA

Sorry for the later than usual notice, but there have been some bumps in the road with planning this year. The WCSS committee is working though those bumps and committed to putting on a kick butt WCSS show this year. We are approaching the show very quickly, so if there are any questions that need to be answered about the location or plans for the show please post them up.

We will have more details out soon!

Yay, and thanks for all the hard work that you all at the WCSS planning committee do for us.

I think a lot of us out here don't realize how hard it is to plan these things because for the participants all we see is a well oiled machine and a fantastic weekend when we get to the event.

Sweet! I think I can make it if we can get back from vacation on time

To those who dont know where Stevenson WA is.... its on Washington SR14... a fun road when its dry :slobber: and you arent stuck behind an RV

(But dont speed on it, keep it legal!! the corners are plenty fun at 55 or so)

Though I am not the "voice" of the show, I am going to put in my two cents here. THERE WILL BE NO KEG THIS YEAR!!!! Anyone possessing one, will be asked to leave by me, be cause 1) I am not paying the fine for the new Washington Law 2) I am not going to be sued after someone fall/get hits by a car/drives a car/is underage.

There will probably be more about alcohol mentioned by the show, but I am telling you as a sponsor and committee member that I personally will not tolerate excessive alcohol (meaning more than personal usage)

Yes you did, I brought one, and kinda regret it... ya its cool to say I brought the one and only that will ever be at a show... but as you work your way into it, it kinda gets hard to properly judge who is and is not really authorized to be taking from it (proper age, if they have had too much, etc). Thinking back it may even be considered a bit disrespectful to the organizers that I had brought one. If it was I am sorry. :(

Much easier to regulate alcohol consumption on the campsites if each person is responsible for their OWN stuff. Keeps down on minors working their way in and possible legal responsibilities associated with such.

And then there was one. Something you need to know if you are planning to reserve the last room, since it is one of their larger rooms, they require a three night stay during the summer month, the rent on that room is $99 per night, it sleeps up to 4 people, but the $99 is only good for the first two people, person number 3 and 4 will cost an additional $10 each per night. The place is within walking distance of the fairgrounds.

For ideas of other stuff to do during downtime at the show.... there are plenty of hiking and biking trails within 10-30 minutes of this show

We wouldn't be subaru owners if we didnt do something outside.

Be aware that crossing to Oregon via bridge of the gods or hood river bridge = small toll

I guess I'll have to explore more over there for the trails....

Hopefully we'll have a trailrun..

I'll be takin the scenic wheelin route thru Lolo pass at Hood then Hood river foothills for some friday action...before the show...

I see many posts about hotels..is there not going to be camping at the show?

It's just us old folks who need their sleep. You young people can party all night if you want and you won't distrub us. As far as I know, there is camping at the fair grounds.
