4x4_Welder
I've diagnosed a problem as the #2 injector is leaking. I am planning to throw another used injector in there, but I'd also like to change the o-rings on it. Do I have to get those from Subaru, or are they a standard o-ring? EVOthis
Personally I wouldn't feel comfortable getting the o-rings somewhere else even if you can closely match them up...Personally I view these as a "dealer only" item...The last thing you want obviously is that other injector leaking.... hankosolder2
+1. The o-rings have to be gasoline/solvent resistant. I had an injector o-ring failure (on the fuel rail side) on a Honda and it produced a large stream of gas all over my hot engine. Not cool. 4x4_Welder
Dealer quoted me $160 for all o-rings. Not gonna happen, no way no how. I'm going to get a nitrile o-ring kit and do it myself. I have done some research, and nitrile/HNBR is the correct material to use.

porcupine73
Personally I would go with the genuine o-rings from Subaru. Only for this reason, I had my injectors serviced by Witch Hunter some years back, and on some of the injectors I used the o-rings WH sent, and on some I used new genuine rings. They looked the same to me, but the o-rings sent by WH leaked air and I had a sucking sound around those injectors. If your local dealer is ripping you off find a Subaru dealer selling parts online.
